Wooloowin is a Brisbane City, Queensland, Australia suburb.

Wooloowin is an inner-northern suburb of Brisbane, Australia located about 5–6 km north of the central business district of the city.

History of Wooloowin

The origin of the name of the suburb was attributed either to the local indigenous Australian term for a pigeon, or to the term for a fish species. It was the home of Alfred Lutwyche, the First Resident Judge of Brisbane.

Kalinga was within Wooloowin, a residential district. On 16 October 2015, Kalinga, having been excised from Wooloowin, was officially gazetted as a suburb.

Kalinga Park is a designated heritage park situated at 100 Bertha Road, Kalinga (formerly part of Wooloowin), Brisbane City, Queensland , Australia.

The park 's eastern portion is in neighboring Clayfield. It is also referred to as Anzac Memorial Park. On 3 July 2007 it was added to the Queensland Heritage List.
